Currently showing at Paris' Grand Palais, 125 years Of Italian Magnificence charts the evolution of Italian high jewellery brand, Bulgari. What they do / did with colour is masterful. Feast your eyes...
I agree Ann. And it's not a combo you'd immediately thing would work. I'm on the lookout for something similar, albeit not from Bulgari! Let you know if I find it...
I wish I was still living in London so I could go to Marcus McCallum and spend way to much money on stones (aw, the memories...). But instead of sapphires I would probably use some budget friendly kyanite. (BTW, I bought your book and I love it!)
Thank you Ann. That's super sweet of you. You certainly sound like a lady who knows her stuff! I note that Marcus M's spring sale starts this month. Maybe time for a trip back into town?
In the words of my publisher: Maia has contributed fashion and lifestyle articles to publications including British Vogue, Elle, The Guardian, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine and Wallpaper*. Based in London, Maia is a co-founder of jewellery trends agency, Adorn Insight. She is also a visiting lecturer at Central St Martins. (Addendum - I'm now also the jewellery editor for www.becauselondon.com)
In my words: I have a magpie's tendency to hoard shiny things and since my little flat, and littler wallet, prohibit extensive collecting, I've resorted to cyberspace to stash the goods...
Turquoises and sapphires can look so beautiful together...amazing!
