Boys In Jewels - part 4

Men and jewellery: to wear, or not to wear. That is the question posed by Adorn this week. For what it's worth, my opinions can be found here.

The cufflinks shown are by Giles & Brother - brainchild of New york jeweller, Philip Crangi, and his sister. They're the piece I'd like my imaginary boyfriend to wear.

Philip Crangi

Philip Crangi created this steel and gold necklace for the jewellery launch at Colette

• Philip is American. He lives and works in New York.

• He’s a self-confessed avid collector of anything from old maps to taxidermy.

• He makes his own models and prototypes and each piece of jewellery is produced in his New York City studio by a team of three goldsmiths who construct every piece by hand.

• Philip says: ‘Jewellery functions in three ways: as a memento, a talisman and a status symbol. I try to reflect those things in my work.’
